    Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
    •  supervise and co-ordinate activities of payroll staff.
    •  manage payroll workload to meet operational requirements.
    • ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner.
    • direct the preparation of payroll related documents.
    • Pays employees by compiling and processing payroll information; maintaining records and supervising staff.
    • Balances payroll accounts by auditing information; identifying and resolving discrepancies; initiating journal entries.
    • Updates records by reviewing and entering changes in exemptions, insurance changes, deductions, paid-time not worked, status, and pay; calculating vacation earned.
    • oversee compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements.
    • monitor the accurate processing of staff appointments, transfers, promotions and terminations.
    • review and improve payroll policies and procedures.
    • oversee the maintenance of current employee data systems.
    • ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements.
    • manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production.
    • support all internal and external audits related to payroll.

    Desired Candidate's Profile:
    1.  Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience of managerial/supervisory and Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred.
    2. In-depth knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processing.
    3. Solid understanding of employment law, regulatory, and legal compliance practices.
    4. Experience working in a close team environment and providing project management/leadership for various Human Resources projects and initiatives.
    5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    6. Ability to show strong initiative while working independently and as part of a team.
    7. proficiency in relevant payroll and accounting software.
    8. problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
